VTS take a very different approach to the norm when it comes to Air Handling Unit manufacture. Unit designs and specifications are standardised as far as possible, and large quantities of panels and components are stocked in the VTS “assembly hubs”. Units are then assembled to order in extremely short leadtimes, allowing market leading turnaround of orders. From order placement to UK/Ireland delivery typically takes just 3 working weeks!
VENTUS COMPACT Commercial Heat Recovery Units
VENTUS COMPACT is really two ranges in one. COMPACT suspended is a range of ceiling suspended heat recovery units with counter flow recuperators and ultra-low casing heights.
The units are made of double skin mineral wool insulation panels with Aluzinc sheet (AZ 150) externally for excellent corrosion resistance. The panels are attached to a steel supporting structure that ensures the rigidity of the entire unit.
As standard the units are equipped with:
- Counter-flow hexagonal recuperator
- EC motors
- MINI – PLEAT filters
- multifunctional controls
The units are factory wired with pre-configured controls ready for operation immediately after connecting (Plug&Play), with minimal commissioning time needed. Additional functions (heating, cooling, etc) are achieved via bolt-on modules.
Units are available with a choice of aluminium or polypropylene recuperators with up to 92% heat recovery efficiency. In addition, the unit is equipped with energy-saving EC fan motors, as well as multifunctional controls, to deliver not just excellent SFP (specific fan power) figures but low real-world energy consumption.
COMPACT floor mounted AHUS are designed to be floor standing in a plant room or on a roof, and cater for larger airflows up to 16,500 m3/h.

The units are factory wired with pre-configured controls ready for operation immediately after connecting (Plug&Play), so minimal commissioning time is needed on site. Additional functions (heating, cooling, etc) are achieved via bolt-on modules.
Fan wall technology (multiple smaller fans arranged in an array), mini-pleat filters, and a very space-efficient standardised casing design, allows VTS Compact AHUs to achieve incredibly small casing sizes when compared with conventional “modular” AHUs, as illustrated by the below graphic.
All of the VTS COMPACT series units are Eurovent certified and fully ErP 2018 compliant, so you can rest assured you are selecting a quality product that will deliver real world performance. Fairhaven can produce unit specifications in-house using the online ClimaCAD selection software, and project-specific REVIT files can be generated within a matter of hours if needed.
